This year has by far been the best of my life so far. I gave birth to my gorgeous son early January and ever since, I’ve been having the best time with him. He’s changed my life for the better and so 2018 will always be my favourite ever.
Happy New Years! Stay safe everyone.
I wrote a post like this last new year – read
1. People will make time for things they want to make time for.
Its a matter of priorities, nobody is ever too busy. If a friend constantly makes excuses and claims they’re too busy – they’re not worth your time.
2. How to fall back in love with life.
Soppy I know – having a little boy really makes you view life from his eyes and just how beautiful life is. As I watch him grow every single day and learn new things and explore the world, it really makes me the happiest person alive.
3. Not to care what people think.
I’ve always been an anxious person, a worrier and an over thinker. Recently I’ve just thought like literally who cares?? It’s my life and I’ll do what I want! That’s my vibe and I’m so much happier for it.
4. What’s the worst that can happen?
If I had a pound for every time I’ve said that this year, I’d be writing this from the hot tub of my mansion right now. (I mean probably not but you get the idea) This literally applies to anything. If the answer isn’t upsetting anyone or like … death, then go for it, what’s the worst that can happen?
5. I am one strong bitch.
Not to blow my own trumpet or anything, but the amount I’ve been through last year and this year is phenomenal, and I’m still striving, surviving and thriving. Thank you, next.
6. It’s the little things.
There’s this quote saying that you should appreciate the little things because one day they add up and become the big things, and you know what? It couldn’t be more true. Never underestimate the power of a laugh with your friends or a break with yourself, it does wonders.
7. Stay true to who you are.
You can be the juiciest, ripest peach in the world and there’s still going to be someone that doesn’t like peaches x
8. Follow your heart and trust your gut.
Your instincts have your back.
9. Do more of what makes you happy.
Life is too short not to have fun and be the happiest you can be.
10. Help is out there for a reason, take it.
Whether this is from doctors, counsellors or your best friends, take the help you can get.
11. You don’t have to look your best everyday.
Some days you’re not feeling it, and that’s okay.
12. Capture the moment.
Our generation get a lot of stick for over capturing, over sharing and being on our phones too often. Whilst I believe it’s important to be present, having a phone in your pocket everywhere you go is a blessing beyond safety concerns. It’s great to take a photo and remember the moment forever.
13. Mental health comes first.
14. How to love my body.
My body was home to my son for nine months, she deserves repeat and love.
15. Family time is the best time.
Nothing makes me happier than spending time with my family! They’re amazing and I’m so lucky to have them.
16. The sky is the limit.
Aim higher than you can even imagine, the world is your oyster baby and you get what you put in.
17. My mam is fantastic!!!!!!
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always known this. She’s amazing! But after having my own baby and knowing what she went through having and raising me, I have a whole new respect for her. Love you mam!
18. Never stop believing in yourself.
If nobody else will, then be your own biggest fan.
2018, thanks for being everything I could possibly hope for and more.
… and 2019? I’m ready for you.
Thanks for supporting me this year angels. All the best,
