It’s no secret that Jeffree Star Cosmetics create the best highlighters on the market. With their 2017 Holiday Collection drop, the brand introduced two stunning Skin Frost Palettes.A combination of six highly pigmented, cool toned highlighter shades designed for the girl on the go. This palette is ideal for travelling if you wanted to take a few highlighting colours with you as they can get heavy!

The first palette is the 24K Gold palette which includes darker shades and gold hues, perfect for those with a medium to dark skin tone. Secondly there is the Platinum Ice palette which has the icy, white tones that are good for a lighter skin tone.I chose this one as the colours are a lot lighter and more wearable for my skin tone personally.

I adore the silver brushed metal style sleeve this comes in and then the actual packaging has stunning diamond cut patterns, representing the ice theme. These shades are crazy and for all the creative queens out there who love to dabble with abstract coloured highlights.

I think that you’re getting a really good deal for price the as Jeffree’s individual, single highlighters are normally £25 and then for this palette it’s £35 – even though they are smaller you’re still getting six shades for just over the price of a large single!

Ice Cold

An original shade that’s been part of Jeffree Star Cosmetics’ line for a while now that’s not been made into this gorgeous mini version. This shade is a off white, icy colour that is very intense when applied and I think it pretty much sums up the whole palette’s vibe!

This one is a pale blue and silver toned colour with a more intense feel to Ice Cold.

Lavender Snow

This one is another original shade that provides a deep purple tone. It looks dark in the pan but is more silver toned when it’s swatched.

Alien ice

A pastel green with an icy shift to it. I was most excited about this one, even though it looks a little scary but me and my obsession for aliens are all aboard this train. Honestly, when applied onto your cheeks it’s not as scary as you think.

Pink Chill

A pale pink which is a different formula to the other highlighters in his collection and to the ones in the palette. Jeffree claims that this one is a glittery sheer formula to dust on as a duo chrome topper to another highlight. This can be used as a subtle highlight if you don’t want to glow too intensely (but if you don’t want to be glowing intensely then why are we even reading this together?) Although this is supposed to be a ‘sheer’ formula, the swatch photo below shows that it really isn’t that subtle at all!

Canary Bling

A gorgeous soft yellow toned shade that’s similar too Ice Cold but a warmed up version.

[Left to right] Ice Cold, Glacier, Lavender Snow, Alien Ice, Pink Chill, Canary Bling.

I think this palette is so beautifully formulated and filled with gorgeous shades that are perfect for giving that blinding glow that can be seen from out of space. This is a must in the highlighter lovers collection, especially for the amazing price point!

Sadly, I’ve not liked anything I’ve tried from him. The lipsticks were okay at first, but after a month they got really flaky and gross ):

      There’s a warmer version called 24K Gold 🙂

I’m so with you on the price, if single highlighters only cost £10 less than the full palette then wow, that’s a bargain right there, a good way of discovering an ultimate favourite, too! I love the sound of Alien Ice (I’m also Alien obsessed), I’m also enjoying the look of Lavender Snow! It’s undoubtedly a stunning palette, I might just have to have a peek at the 24k Gold (my skin tone suits warmer tones so much more), but that damn Lavender.. I might be falling in love, the swatch does it even more justice than photographed in the pan!
