The beauty industry has evolved tremendously over the years and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. Beauty products are now stocked in a multitude of retailers from the high end department stores to the high street fashion retailers and everything inbetween. Beauty has also became the focal point of multiple blogger’s careers and we all love watching a good review or tutorial on YouTube.
The fashion industry are embracing the growth of the beauty field and it’s something I feel can sometimes be over shadowed due to the constant new releases from more well known beauty retailers.
I can admit myself, I spend a heck of a lot of money on beauty products and new pieces of make up each month and so I feel that it’s vital to be on the look out for hidden treasures that can often save you a lot of money.
Here are some of my favourite picks from Topshop, NYX and New Look.
TOPSHOP (HIGH STREET)
Topshop is obviously renknown for it’s innovative fashion designs that rock both the cat walk and the high street. Their beauty range also brings that same edge and fashion to the make up industry. They stock everything from complexion make up, to eyes, lips, nails and even tools at a fraction of the price range that you’d find in some higher end stores.
This nail varnish is in the shade Pirouette and is the perfect natural nude shade, with a glossy finish, for everyday wear that will go with every outfit. A definite favourite in my nail varnish collection.
RRP £5.00 SHOP
This glow pot is in the shade Polished. It can be worn on the cheeks for a blinding highlight or it can be worn to highlight parts of your body such as shoulders and collar bones. I like to wear this under my powder highlights to really make the powder stick to my skin and give an all day glow.
RRP £10.00 SHOP
My favourite topshop lipstick is in the shade Devotion and it’s a beautiful, satin finish, mauve purple with a slight deep pink undertone. This is a perfect item to throw into your handbag and top up your lips throughout the day.
RRP £8.00 SHOP
NYX COSMETICS (DRUG STORE)
NYX is a definite favourite amongst the beauty blogging community as their products offer luxurious, long lasting wear at such an affordable price point. Their products can be bought online and at local Boots stores.
Matte Finish Setting Spray
Trust me when I tell you that I’ve tried just about every setting spray on the market from high end to drug store, and not many of them lock my make up in like this one. With a price tag of just £7, this spray can be purchased in a matte or dewy finish and will keep your make up slaying all day and night long.
RRP £7.00 SHOP
Suede Matte Lip Liners
These lip liners work as a compliment to just about any lipstick. They are creamy and extremely easy to work with and help your lip colour to stay all day flawless. They come in over 35 shades and in my opinion, are a must in everyone’s lip drawer.
RRP £4.00 SHOP
NEW LOOK (HIGH STREET)
Whilst New Look’s beauty range is somewhat new onto the market, it doesn’t fall from less than amazing. From the packaging to the product to me, it’s flawless for the price. They have a lot of dupes for otherwise expensive items, here are some of my favourites.
I’ve stepped away from beauty blenders (for now) and moved to oval brushes. Although I may be a little late to this party, I’m really enjoying how much more product I’m saving with this brush and how even the coverage applies. A lot of these types of brushes can have a high price point so it’s a good idea to atleast get a more affordable brush first as they won’t fit everyone’s taste. It is honestly the softest and most suede-esque brush I have ever felt (I’m obsessed!)
RRP £6.99 SHOP
The packaging on these lipsticks is to die for and really speaks for the rose gold lover that is burried away deep inside of me. This shade is called Dusty Pink. This is a beautiful light pink/peach matte shade, perfect for everyday use.
RRP £3.99 SHOP
Cover and Protect: Concealer Crayon
I use this concealer to cover any blemishes or dark circles and discolouration on my face as it is extremely full coverage with a low price point of £3.99, proving you don’t need to break the bank to have a luxurious full coverage make up look for the skin. These could also be used to contour if purchased in different shades.
RRP £3.99 SHOP
